Summary
You will serve as a TAP & Employment Readiness Specialist in the Department of the Navy of NAVSTA GTMO, Cuba .
Duties
You will Facilitate and provide the full scope of operational management and oversight of TAP services for transitioning military members and/or family members, retirees, reservists, and Department of Defense (DOD) civilian members.
You will facilitate classes for customers on applying professional analytical skills and negotiation techniques to identify job opportunities and develop an automated inventory to list such job opportunities.
You will assist clients with creating and maintaining their Individual Transition Plan (IDP) and identifying personal and vocational needs to help them outline milestones to achieve their goals.
You will provide volunteers with opportunities to learn job skills, advance their career path, and expand the ability of the FFSC to deliver services through in-house use of volunteers.
You will handle complaints on behalf of management amongst volunteers and between volunteers and staff.
You will coordinate all aspects of community outreach to installation, command, and community partners, encourage participation in FFSC volunteer opportunities, develop and implement annual community outreach plan.
You will maintain a library or resource center of current TAP and FERP information, curriculum, and resources and provide service members with authorized physical or digital materials.
You will research and write articles and prepare and deliver briefings to market TAP and FERP and inform target population of programs and services.
Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
