Summary
This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs, Boston Regional Office. The incumbent serves as the supervisor in the Administrative Section of the Support Services Division. The primary purpose of this position is to manage and supervise the operations of the Support Services Division Administrative functions (e.g. property management, supply, procurement, fleet management, etc.)
Duties
Specific duties include: Administers administration programs that include records management, property management, supply, procurement, and vehicle fleet management. Assists in the development and execution of the station's annual GOE and Minor Construction budget with division and station management. Ensures efficient utilization of facility space by monitoring, evaluating, and planning based on program changes and demands and works with appropriate entities for acquisitions, maintenance, and improvements. Participates in the preparation of the annual operating plan; consolidates and prepares estimates for presentation to the Director and other station management officials. Collaborates with the Budget Officer to review orders to verify the need and ensure each section receives the appropriate share of the funds available. Oversees the procurement, issuance, storage, replacement, repair, turn-in and disposal of office supplies, equipment, and furniture. Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Compressed/Flexible: Not Available. Telework: This position is eligible for situational (ad hoc) telework only. The selectee is required to report to the official duty station each scheduled workday. Telework may be approved only on a case-by-case basis with supervisory approval.
