Summary
This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Capital Access location negotiable upon selection. Selected applicant will be required to report to an SBA office. The incumbent serves as a supervisor and expert Surety Bond Guarantee Specialist. Responsible for providing surety bond guarantees for small businesses.
Duties
As a Supervisory Surety Guarantee Specialist, GS-1101-14, you will be responsible for: Services as a senior expert surety bond guarantee program advisor, providing advice on technical guidance on highly complex and unique program activities. Plans, directs, coordinates and evaluates all aspects of the surety bond guarantee, underwriting and marketing program activities. Resolves work problems presented by subordinates and recommends or implements ways to improve production and quality of work in the unit. Prepares performance standards and evaluates performance of subordinates. Exercises technical and administrative supervisory controls that are in keeping with a first level supervisory position. Gathers and analyzes information, determines potential risks, and prepares documentation for management's decision and approval on complex program matters. Reviews and ensures application of lessons learned to program operations through doctrinal changes, technical guidance, and oral and written information directives.
Education
