Duties

Summary: The purpose of this position is to contribute to mission readiness by providing quality youth development to family members of active duty, retired, reserve, and DoD civilians thereby increasing the quality of life for families. Develops and implements youth programs to accommodate the wide range of interests for ages 5-18 with activities in traditional, trendy and specialized activities. Duties: 1. Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of 354 Force Support Squadron ensuring that Youth Programs complies with legal and regulatory requirements, IAW AFI 34-144 and meets customer needs. Develops goals and objectives that integrate the Eielson AFB organizations and Youth Programs for mission success. 2. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. 3. Represents the Youth Programs during the absences of the Director with a variety of installation and functional area organizations IAW current DoD Instruction, Air Force Instruction, Air Force Inspection Criteria, BGCA and the National Accreditation body for School Age Care. 4. Administrative: Assist YP Director in the preparation of APF and NAF budget and analyzes and tracks financial statements, which include expenditures required to conduct the youth and teen programs.
