Summary
About the Position: As Chief of the Military Branch and in consultation with the other branch chiefs, is responsible for the planning of the staff's work, the technical execution, and development of criteria for preparation of all engineering designs, plans, and specifications for civil and military construction projects assigned located in the Latin America and Caribbean District Area of Responsibility.
Duties
Responsible for developing and implementing the vision, mission, and direction of the branch by leading and managing an inclusive, diverse workforce that leverages the talents of each employee.
Serves as the responsible professional for all work done in the Branch. Performs supervisory personnel management functions to guide, direct, and evaluate the technical efforts and work products produced by subordinates.
Directs all technical work performed in the Branch by either assigned in-house staff, contractors, or other agencies.
As Branch chief, provides direction for a multi-disciplinary workforce that may include structural, geotechnical, water resources and cost engineers, geologists, surveyors, GIS specialists, general civil engineers and others.
