Summary
About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located in PYEONGTAEK, South Korea The initial length of this overseas tour is 36 months with possible extensions up to 5 years.
Duties
Evaluate and strongly influence the mission definitions for systems and system elements for all assigned/attached units.
Ensure that community-wide information services, e.g., system administration, network operations, and data base management are provided to customers within the USANEC area of responsibility.
Report outages, hazardous conditions, authorized service interruptions IAW established policies and regulations to the Regional Network Operations Security Center (RNOSC), Commander and higher headquarters.
Provide advice to units; conducts inspections; surveys; evaluations, and reviews to determine IA compliance.
Determine long-range program objectives and develops the strategy for achieving those objectives.
Supervise, direct, oversee, and coordinate the work of a staff of US, local nationals, and military employees performing a variety of duties in providing IT support to the community and supported units.
