Summary
This is a Detail Not to Exceed One Year, however, the detail may be made permanent without additional competition. This position is located in Business Operations, VA Central Office (VACO), Human Resources Service Center (HRSC). The primary purpose of this position is to direct the Human Resources Information Systems program area and provide advisory and technical services in all areas relating to Human Resources Information Systems.
Duties
Major duties include: Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of employees and oversight of the HRIS programs; Serve as an advisor to top level management, identifying and analyzing problems, while developing and implementing solutions related to operating systems support; Analyze complex problems relating to HRIS systems and applications, to develop creative and innovative approaches, methods or alternatives in order to meet HR anticipated business program needs; Produce analytical reports, studies, and other sources and making them available to a wide variety of constituents, including oversight bodies and internal and external stakeholders; Manage all requests, projects, and issues related to the monitoring, approving, facilitating, and managing of access requests to various automated HR systems, and validating the accuracy of information across various systems; Research and investigate new or improved information and management practices for application to shared services HR programs or operations. Design, document, develop, modify, unit test, and implement application changes and new technology used in HR systems. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Compressed/Flexible: May be available at Manager's discretion. Telework: May be authorized in accordance with agency policy.
