Summary

Supervisory Helicopter Pilot, provides supervision and guidance to pilots, working with the Aviation Program Manager, the Aviation Fleet Manager and Operations and Logistics Managers to collaboratively deliver aviation services to WS cooperators and stakeholders within the east, supervising up to 30 intermittent and part-time pilots.

Duties

The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity.

The duties may include, but are not limited to:

Responsible the required administrative tasks related to supervision including certification of timesheets, performance evaluation, regular communication, resolving issue.

Supervises up to 30 intermittent and part-time pilots.

Determines effective recruitment strategies, conducts interviews, and hires personnel.

Incumbent is required to be experienced and competent in the operation of a helicopter and must be able to meet the Low-Level Flight Standards established by the program.

Develops performance standards and conducts performance reviews of work for subordinates.

As requested, incumbent conducts safety evaluations of personnel participating in aerial activities and on airplanes used in operations.
