Summary
The Supervisory Financial Administration Specialist establishes the necessary oversight and leadership that will successfully oversee the sustainment of the Mid-Atlantic Consolidated Patient Account Center (CPAC). These financial operations include cashiering, reconciliation of all revenue accounts, billing denials, remit processing, bank accounts, deposits, reporting of financial and operational performance, and customer service for Veterans.
Duties
Major Duties: Responsible for financial operations of a consolidated business unit supporting the Revenue Cycle for multiple VAMC Facilities. Responsible for preparing and executing fiscal year budgets and establishing financial controls to meet all financial and legal commitments. Managing an effective organization and controlling the financial functions of the CPAC, which is designed to match to the process requirements for efficient delivery of results. Management of financial operations that include cashiering, reconciliation of all revenue accounts, billing denials, remit processing, bank accounts, deposits, and reporting of financial and operational performance. Processing the revenue for all the facilities assigned to the CPAC and reporting to Revenue Operations and the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) on both financial and performance results. Preferred Experience/Knowledge: Budget and salary projections, FMS experience, travel knowledge, purchase card knowledge. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 40 hours/week; Tour of duty to be set based on organizational need. Compressed/Flexible: May be available at supervisor discretion and needs of agency. Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies.
