The primary purpose of this position is to serve as aSecurity Specialist, Special Access Programs (SAP), policy development, management and Information, Physical, Industrial, Personnel, and Facility Security.
Duties
Appointed as a Government Special Security Officer (GSSO), provides oversight of all Command Special Access Programs (SAP) units. Shapes, integrates, and implements policy and AFMC specific guidance. Performs duties as Information Security Specialist and Top Secret (TS) Control Officer (TSCO) or alternate. Serve as an Special Access Programs (SAP) Security Compliance Inspection team member in support of the SAF and AFMC/IG. Develops procedures, processes, and control systems to ensure protection of classified information up to and including TS Special Access Required (SAR) and SCI utilized by personnel supporting the Air Force, Command, and Field Units. Represents HQ AFMC/IG in the execution of duties related to SAP security compliance inspections and Staff Assistance Visits (SAV) IAW DoD, AF, and AFMC policies and guidance at AFMC Centers and subordinate units.
