Duties
As a Regional Program Director, you will: Provide executive leadership and program direction to accomplish efficient, effective funding and oversight of grant recipients and regional operations. Direct and oversee a subordinate staff engaged in professional and administrative work and performs supervisory and managerial duties either directly or through one or more subordinate supervisors and/or team leaders. Represent the OHS in meetings, conferences, consultations, and work groups to contribute to the formulation and development of new and revised national policy and procedures, and guide materials on various aspects of assigned programs in support of OHS goals. Develop long-range strategies and work plans for the region to carry out legislative initiatives and national goals and priorities aimed at improving effectiveness of the Head Start program. Manage the requirements, practices, and procedures for soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and processing proposals, and awarding and administering grants and agreements. Provide oversight of regional operations to ensure timely and effective funding, monitoring and provision of training and technical assistance to grant recipients. Provide oversight of programs to assess the effectiveness of grantee operations to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
