Summary
You will serve as a RECORDS AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Service Treatment Records Unit (STRU), Records and Performance Section (MMPB-2), Manpower Management Performance Branch (MMPB), Manpower Management Division (MM), Manpower & Reserve Affairs Department (M& RA) of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will be responsible for retrieving Statement Treatment Record Unit (STRU) mail from designated pickup locations aboard the installation and transporting mail for further processing by the STR contract team.
You will oversee shipment of physical records approved for destruction or travel to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) for long-term storage.
You will aid STRU contract personnel in obtaining access to DoD, DHA, or VA systems that are required for the processing of STRs.
You will be involved in all phases of processing STR from cradle to grave (e.g. record receiving, document preparation, scanning, record review, data validation, assembly).
Education
