Summary
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Shortage Category/Critical Need Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Apply a thorough knowledge of acquisition, management and disposal practices; a knowledge of appraisal, legal, and engineering and construction practices which relate to real estate; and a good working knowledge of Federal realty laws, policies and regulations.
Duties
Employee prepares leases, easements, licenses and permits for the temporary use of government real property such as industrial facilities, rights-of-way for roads and public utilities, land for agricultural purposes etc.
Performs compliance inspections and reports of out grants at civil works projects or on military installations.
Attend public meetings with landowners to ascertain their responsiveness to a proposed Government or Non-Federal Sponsor acquisition.
Employee conducts searches for possible land or building sites identified through advertisement, ground search, and/or contracts with local business and government entities.
Performing the most difficult negotiations with heightened problems that must be overcome using a sound knowledge of realty practices and values as well as skillful courteous and effective negotiating and salesmanship techniques.
Education
