Summary

This position is located in the Office of Protection Services (OPS) responsible for ensuring the safety and security of staff, visitors, and national collections across the Smithsonian.

Duties

The Property Management and Procurement Supervisor manages information and staff related to contracting and asset management. In this position, you will: Serve as the OPS Purchase Card Program Coordinator, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the program. Establish and implement SI policy and guidelines in coordination with acquisition and micro-purchasing regulations. Manage and support OPS procurement operations, including the procurement of equipment, supplies, and service contracts. Provide leadership, policy guidance and direction to subordinate professional, technical, and support personnel. Manage the OPS Accountable Property Program ensuring that OPS is in compliance with all federal and SI regulations as related to accountable property. Draft new or revise OPS regulations and procedures on inventories, accountability of records, maintenance and utilization of property, and control and management of property.
