Summary

The Veterans Affairs (VA) Maryland Health Care System is a dynamic and progressive health care organization that provides safe, quality, and compassionate care and service to Maryland's Veterans. The incumbent is responsible for program support to Home and Community Based Services, as part of the Geriatrics & Extended Care Clinical Center located at the Perry Point VA Medical Center.

Duties

Major Duties include but are not limited to: Responsible to support the functions of community contract programs by assisting in inquiries and relating information to appropriate community partners, staff, either within GEC or other clinical centers/services. Assists as needed the needs of Veterans and community partners while supporting the medical center and GECCC administrative support service missions. Provides Veterans and community partners with consistent information according to established policies and procedures. Serves as the primary contact for community partners, VA staff and regulatory agencies. Provides Veterans and community partners with consistent information according to established policies and procedures. Addresses conflict and difficulty with Veterans, community partners and VA staff constructively and appropriately. Have general knowledge of accounting concepts and auditing procedures to ensure proper charges for the services provided by the programs. Performs a variety of specialized clerical duties within Home and Community Based Service programs within GEC service. Knowledge of English grammar and usage, spelling, punctuation, abbreviations, and correspondence formats outlined by the VAMHCS, VISN and community partners. Demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriately and continuously relate to internal and external customers. Requirements
