Summary
You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER within the Operational Test and Evaluation Force (OPTEVFOR) of the Office of the Commander. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will act as the principal civilian executive and advisor to the OPTEVFOR Director (SES) on all aspects of budget and personnel within the command.
You will participate in current and long-range planning meetings to ensure goals and objectives are fully and effectively related.
You will manage command operations designed to assess effectiveness and suitability of weapons systems as the only operational test agency in the Navy.
You will directly supervise all of the command’s active duty and civilian Division Directors.
You will provide advice, counsel, and guidance on both work and administrative matters.
You will ensure individuals adhere to the strictest principles of safety issues, information systems, and health and welfare activities.
You will develop procedures and techniques to ensure timely performance of the assigned technical missions in accordance with objectives, goals and established standards.
