Summary
This position is located in the Office of the Commissioner for Trademarks, Office of the Deputy Commissioner for Trademark Administration, Office of Performance Planning and Financial Management, Budget, Planning, and Execution Division. This position supports the development & preparation of budget and financial management plans and performance reports and developing assessments that advise management on the spending, staffing, productivity, efficiency, effectiveness of programs and operations.
Duties
The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. Presence at the Alexandria, VA campus is required for this role, as it includes on site functions that must be performed in person. Position may be eligible for situational telework in accordance with agency policy/business unit discretion. The agency currently allows for 52 hours of telework per calendar year. The individual selected for this position: Has a passion for providing a broad range of financial data and analysis. Looks forward to developing and evaluating budget plans including initial budget requests (formulation) and operating plans (execution). Is enthusiastic about developing and performing both cost-benefit and variance analyses to assess current performance to help prioritize future performance enhancement initiatives. Is interested in reviewing and tracking performance measures to develop metrics and dimensions that align with strategic plans and key initiatives. Enjoys analyzing and evaluating on a quantitative/qualitative basis the effectiveness of line program operations in meeting established goals and objectives. Is excited about preparing complex financial reports and responses to inquiries, including narratives and tables, for senior management review.
