Duties

The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a Range Control and Scheduling Specialist for the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex (JPARC) air-to-ground weapons training range and airspace. Responsible for operational oversight and coordination of daily Air Force training in the JPARC. Manages Air Force scheduling and usage of the Yukon Training Area (YTA), Donnelly Training Area (DTA) and Tanana Flats Training Area (TFTA) underlying the JPARC airspace. Duties: Responsible for establishing and integrating all range planning and execution functions with internal and external agencies to accomplish daily training operations in the 77,000 square mile JPARC. Plans, organizes, and directs scheduling activities of the organization for future operations, ensuring that work complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Responsible for developing/executing comprehensive management plans for consumable range resources. Represents the Range Squadron as the go to person for range operations.
