Summary
The position is located in the Senior Level Division, Office of Career Development and Assignments, Bureau of Human Resources. The position serves as a Program Analyst responsible for coordinating, administering, analyzing, and evaluating Chief of Mission, Deputy Chief of Mission/Principal Officer, Political Advisor, and related senior leadership assignment and vetting programs administered by HR/CDA/SL.
Duties
Coordinates and administers senior Foreign Service recruitment, nomination, vetting, selection, and assignment programs for COM, DCM/PO, POLAD, and related leadership positions.
Analyzes and interprets laws, policies, procedures, and complex assignment cases to advise management and recommend appropriate courses of action.
Administers committee operations, develops assignment schedules, tracks program milestones, and ensures selection actions are completed accurately and within established timeframes.
Researches, verifies, and evaluates candidate qualifications and sensitive security, suitability, and vetting information to support senior leadership selection decisions.
Conducts qualitative and quantitative program analyses, identifies operational issues and trends, and recommends improvements to assignment processes, data management, and program effectiveness.

The evaluation process consists of the ApplyGov Competency Based Assessments for which applicants will be assigned a score between 70 and 100.
