Duties
As a NUCLEAR SURETY MODELING AND SIMULATION SPECIALIST at the GS-0301-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: The incumbent serves as computer modeling and simulation project manager, which oversees development of customer's virtual (model) environment and identifies opportunities for physical security improvement to include the customer's environment subject matter expertise. Develops tailored high-fidelity models of customer environments, facilities, materials, and personnel demonstrating the full spectrum of U.S. nuclear physical security tactics, techniques, and procedures. Serves as the focal point and subject matter expert for the DOD Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Center of Excellence for nuclear physical security. Coordinates nuclear security M&S tasks and requirements within the DTRA M&S Center and Services. Develops tactical scenarios and conditions to be modeled, garners physical security subject matter expertise input to the functionality and realism of model outcomes. Assists DTRA contracting personnel by serving as the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative for each assigned program.
