Summary
This position is part of the NNSA - Office of Secure Transportation, Department of Energy. A successful candidate in this position will serve as Management Analyst (secondary), responsible for recommending recruiting strategies, systems and procedures to meet OST staffing and recruitment goals.
Duties
As a Management Analyst, you will: Responsible for implementing recruiting strategies, systems and procedures to meet OST staffing and recruitment goals. Analyze, develop, implement, advise and recommend solutions on all phases of a major recruitment program requiring significant analysis and innovation to solve complex issues. Prepare statistical reports to track progress and effectiveness of the program initiatives. Collaborate with other team members to track and provide trending data for each applicant from initial contact to final disposition and assists with staff assistance for each phase of the process. Address issues which are frequently complicated by human resources regulations as part of the recruitment process, and which can directly impact the Office of Secure Transportation (OST) mission capabilities in maintaining NMC staffing levels in order to carry out the Secure Transportation Asset in support of national security program.
Requirements
Subject to Random Drug Testing Must pass a pre-employment drug test. Favorable suitability determination required. Must be able to obtain/maintain a L level Security Clearance. May be required to successfully complete a one (1) year probationary or two (2) year trial period. Education
To qualify based on education - a master's or equivalent degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or an equivalent combination of graduate education and experience can be qualifying. OPM Qualification Standards for Administrative & Management Education must be obtained from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Applicants who have completed part or all of their education outside of the U.S. must have their foreign education evaluated by an accredited organization to ensure that the foreign education is comparable to education received in accredited educational institutions in the U.S. A written evaluation of any foreign education must be provided with your application in response to this vacancy announcement or be received by the closing date of this announcement.
