Summary
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - OC/PACIFIC.
Duties
Plans and administers enterprise systems, processes, and applications supporting customer service initiatives including problem management, fault isolation/resolution and knowledge management across the DISA enterprise and all processing platforms.
Serves as the change management evaluation and approval authority for changes affecting GIG stations, links, trunks, and nodes; DISN CORE; NIPRNET/SIPRNET; Promina; and all circuits/trunks in support of USINDOPACOM senior leadership priorities.
Develops strategic plans, cost analyses, specification documents and IT budget inputs; establishes metrics to measure systems performance and total cost of ownership; analyzes configuration to build business cases for new or modified systems.
Develops and enforces enterprise standards and criteria across performance, capacity, configuration, change, content, knowledge, problem, security, and quality management disciplines for standard customer service technologies and applications.
Evaluates and configures enterprise-standard COTS applications, operating systems, executes test and implementation plans; manages access rights and ensures rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies.
Education
There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-13 grade level.
