Duties

As an IT Specialist (Enterprise Architecture), you will perform the following duties: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the full lifecycle management of computer systems, cloud infrastructure, and artificial intelligence, encompassing procurement, design, development, installation, testing, implementation, management, and maintenance. Function as a technical authority in all assignments, analyzing and evaluating work related to integrated systems of computer programs and equipment. Support business alignment by integrating hardware, software, cybersecurity, data, and other computer related services to deliver a cohesive information system. Apply available technologies and basic management principles to adapt computer methods for various subject matter situations, which include supporting users by developing or designing applications and selecting new computer equipment. Provide technical advice to integrate telecommunication systems with operational requirements and apply new technologies. Lead strategic planning for new initiatives, which involves developing and implementing comprehensive plans, policy, and objectives. Serve as an investment planning SME for all OMB 300 Capital Planning Investment Control (CPIC) activities and lead the organization's effort to fulfill these requirements. Assess services based on business outcomes, client satisfaction, and telecommunication service delivery metrics to develop detailed service plans that guide progress and outreach.

Requirements

This position will be filled under the DOC Alternative Personnel System (CAPS). Under CAPS, positions are classified by career, pay plan, and pay band. The ZP-4 is equivalent to the GS-13/14. Key Requirements: Applicants must be U.S. Citizens. Suitable for Federal employment, as determined by background investigation. Must be registered for Selective Service, if applicable (www.sss.gov) Qualification requirements must be met by closing date of the announcement. Additional Considerations: One year probationary period may be required.* Payment of relocation expenses (PCS) is not authorized. This position requires a Moderate Risk Security Clearance. You will be evaluated based on how well you meet the qualifications listed in this vacancy announcement.
