This vacancy is for an IT Specialist (Data Mgmt) position in the Associate Director for Decennial Census Programs located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland. Duties
Lead task forces and project teams in advanced systems software and database-driven technology efforts, acting as a technical authority and ensuring coordinated execution and integration of database platforms, applications, and related IT services.
Analyzes and evaluates integrated systems and equipment to optimize computer methods for varied subject-matter needs, develops and maintains data architectures that ensure effective data modeling, system integration, and governance.
Oversee or perform system implementation activities, including equipment installation or relocation, system testing, acceptance, and issue resolution involving software, hardware, and systems management
Ensure secure and effective data management operations by integrating multiple hardware and software services, evaluating vendor delivered or internally developed software, and ensuring compliance with information security and assurance policies.,
