Duties
This position is being filled under DoD Modified Direct-Hire Auth (Certain DoD Personnel), PL 118-31, Sec 1250B(i)(2), 12/22/2023 As a IT PROJECT MANAGER at the GS-2210-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serving as Information Technology (IT) Project Manager (PM), center of expertise, lead government Point of Contact (POC), and Technical Representative for key IT projects. Identifies and implements opportunities for improving project management efficiency and effectiveness. Responsible for implementing best practices to bring about the successful completion of JS specific Information Technology related project goals and objectives for assigned projects. Ensure no changes to approved project schedules absent prior Government coordination and approval. Represents leadership to the JS, OSD, and external agencies. Work with external agencies, services, and organizations, both government and commercial sector, to ensure the JS remains current with the state of commercial business technology practices while integrating the JS's IT requirements within DoD as well as Enterprise standards
