Summary
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA PAC/PC41.
Duties
Principal technical authority for enterprise services: develops and applies IT and cyber policies to ensure DoDIN system operational availability, integrity, and security.
Leads theater-level enterprise incident command for outages and cyber events; directs real-time triage and coordinates multi-org actions for rapid service restoration.
Develops and maintains a theater-specific Common Operating Picture (COP) for enterprise services health, manages advanced monitoring tools and provides authoritative, time-sensitive impact assessments to leadership.
Designs, configures, and validates specialized enterprise services architectures in support of real-time RNOSC operations and major INDOPACOM exercises, serving as a Tier III escalation point for complex, multi-system issues.
Senior engineering consultant for mission partners: translates operational needs into enterprise solutions, leads network projects, and ensures rigorous info-sec application in all service delivery.
Education
There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-13 grade level.
