Summary
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as the Reliability Compliance Engineer (RCE) for the project responsible for planning, developing, and executing a reliability compliance program.
Duties
Provides professional engineering expertise on the operations and maintenance of electrical equipment to determine potential effects on the Reliability Compliance Program for a multipurpose hydroelectric facility.
Conceives and directs project test programs, develops test procedures to determine operating characteristics, and analyzes performance data to determine root cause equipment failures.
Performs engineering work and coordinates proposed design modifications to existing equipment and systems to mitigate operational risks and optimize reliability.
Utilizes CAD systems (such as AutoCAD Electrical or Revit) to develop and modify engineering plans, and prepares technical engineering reports covering inspections, tests, and maintenance activities.
Proposes, validates, and evaluates technical and procedural controls to identify NERC/WECC compliance gaps, recommends remediation strategies, and represents the project at regulatory meetings and conferences.
Conducts inspections of proposed and as-built equipment to verify compliance with Cybersecurity Operations Technology (OT) and Federal regulatory requirements.
