Duties
Serves as a senior adviser and primary consultant on intelligence analysis and production. Leads a wide variety of complex and non-routine analysis and intelligence production projects/programs/teams to support component, combatant command, and support agency planning and operations. Develops and presents PNT capabilities to a wide variety of service, national, and coalition customers. Provides Commanders and other customers the intelligence information and analysis derived from PNT assets to maximize their own forces' effectiveness by optimizing friendly force strengths, exploiting adversary weaknesses, and countering adversary strengths. Conducts and oversees the most complex analysis of multi-source intelligence. Evaluates relevance and reliability of both classified and unclassified information to understand adversary strengths, weaknesses, and centers of gravity. Manages and oversees intelligence production. Manages and oversees intelligence production to satisfy component, combatant command, and support agency requirements. Serves as a senior technical authority on PNT issues for JNWC leadership. Makes authoritative recommendations and defends to USSPACECOM, the Director and JNWC staff, decisions on operational policy matters; often required to make difficult decisions committing Agency funds or resources impacting future capabilities.
Education
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service. DoD Components with DCIPS positions apply Veterans' Preference to preference eligible candidates as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 USC, in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction 1400.25, Volume 2005, DCIPS Employment and Placement.
