Duties

Serves as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist providing technical and advisory assistance in support of the information management needs of the United States Attorney's Office (USAO). Performs a variety of tasks associated with the day-to-day operations and administration of IT and related systems within the Office of the United States Attorney. Typical work assignments will include: Manages accounts, network rights and access to system equipment. Assists the webmaster and develops, tests and implements internet, intranet and extranet litigation support activities. Provides user training and assistance on a variety of routine and specialized applications. Provides a wide variety of technical support services to coordinate teleconference and distance learning activities to effectively deliver legal training using electronic and or telecommunications media. Installs routine updates and patches to existing programs. Maintains operating systems components based on knowledge of the organizations operational environment. Provides customer service and support in troubleshooting, recovering and resolving hardware/software interface and interoperability problems. Implements policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability. Monitors functionality, security, and integrity of internet services. Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains customer hardware and software. Provides expert technical advice and guidance on digital communications issues. Maintains and controls the districts phone and telecommunications inventory. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Education

All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
