Duties

This Information Technology Specialist (Application Architecture) provides senior technical expertise and guidance for mission-critical applications and data systems. The position establishes architecture standards, guides system design and integration, advises leadership on technology investments, and supports secure, reliable, and sustainable system modernization. If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing Information Technology Specialist (Application Architecture) support in the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Columbia, located in Washington, District of Columbia, focusing in the areas of Application and Integration Architecture, Technology Governance and Strategic Planning, and Modernization and System Sustainability. Typical work assignments will include: Serving as the senior technical authority for application architecture and establishing standards for system design, integration, security, maintenance, and modernization. Evaluating system designs, vendor solutions, and enhancements to identify technical risks, integration issues, and long-term support needs. Advising senior leaders on technology investments, modernization priorities, system sustainability, and risks involving contracts or partner agreements. Developing and maintaining architecture documents and system integration requirements for data exchange, authentication, interfaces, and error handling. Coordinating system testing and troubleshooting with vendors and partners, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with federal IT and security requirements.
