The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Human Resources Specialist at Headquarters, North American Aerospace Defense Command and United States Northern Command providing expert management advisory service in a wide range of HRM areas such as merit promotion, recruitment and placement, affirmative employment, and employment performance management.
Duties
Serves as a COCOM Human Resource Advisor performing staff assistant and management advisory services. Provides position management advisory services in dealing with difficult, complex, and often-controversial position management issues. Provides position classification services to NORAD and USNORTHCOM assigned organizations. Advises management officials and supervisors regarding the commands' multiple appraisal programs, systems, cycles, and monetary/non-monetary awards programs impacting every civilian employee within NOARD & USNORTHCOM and subordinate activities. Prepares and delivers written reports and oral presentations, e.g., briefings, training sessions, consultations, orientations, and discussions with command leadership, supervisors, customers, and co-workers and conducts or leads conferences as representative of the command.
