Summary
Located in the Integrative Health Coordinating Center, Office of Patient Centered Care and Cultural Transformation, the Health System Specialist supports various activities such as aligning complementary and integrative health to national priorities, strategies planning, project management, and data analysis.
Duties
The duties of the position include, but are not limited to: Leads and/or supports various efforts aligning Complementary and Integrative Health (CIH) and national priorities, e.g., standardization, community care, and federal electronic health record). Supports components of CIH skills training and program management including ILEAD and TMS collaboration and tracking. Monitors and evaluates patient centered care programs at both the facility and legacy network levels, including qualification and performance standards. Performs staff support work in strategic planning, project management, and coordination of various initiatives in alignment with national VA priorities. Completes administrative research, management analyses, and development of reports pertaining to program plans, development operations, and assessments of any planning phase of patient centered care and or other activities Analyzes and evaluates, on a quantitative and/or qualitative basis, the effectiveness of programs or operations in meeting established goals, measures, and objectives, and prepares program status reports for review at all levels. Supports coordination of contracts, management of grant funding, requests for proposals, community partnerships, and memorandums of understanding. Supports development and coordination of internal review systems to assure that both clinical and administrative activities are in compliance with agency, accrediting, and regulatory requirements. Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Return to Office (RTO): RTO mandates are in effect and selectees will be required to report to in-person work unless they are approved for an exception or an exemption.
