Summary
This position is in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO). OCFO provides staff leadership and administrators financial, budget, and performance management programs necessary to support FSIS programs and administrative activities. It also develops and implements financial/accounting/budget and performance improvement policies and procedures for FSIS. OCFO has responsibility for all FSIS financial management, strategic planning, and budget and performance improvement activities.
Duties
Develop guidelines for financial processes and procedures.
Research, analyze, and resolve inconsistencies between internal financial reports.
Provide written responses to significant developments in financial programs for dissemination to employees and managers.
Ensure the reasonableness and accuracy of financial data.
Identify and perform in-depth analysis of financial transactions to recognize and resolve issues.
Maintain current knowledge of developments affecting the financial program.
Provide input or advice to financial analysts or other specialists.
