Summary
This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Field Operations Center West - FOCW in Citrus Heights, CA; as a Field Operations Supervisor, assists in the management of the Field Operations Department and field delivery of the disaster loan program to homeowners, renters, businesses of all sizes, and private, non-profit organizations at disaster sites.
Duties
As a Field Operations Supervisor at theGS- 0301-13, some of your typical work assignments may include: Plan, manage, coordinate, and evaluate all aspects of disaster field operations. Coordinate and direct the establishment of teams of loss verifiers to conduct preliminary disaster assessments to assess the extent of disaster damages and economic losses and determine whether or not damage and monetary losses meet SBA' s minimum disaster declaration criteria. Continuously monitor various ongoing disaster operations and pending events and ensure the reallocation of personnel and other resources to meet changing needs and anticipated needs. Represent the Department at meetings and conferences with other SBA officials, officials of other agencies, including Federal, State and local governments, Congressional staff members, associations, business groups and the general public. Conduct post-operations analysis of recently completed disaster operations to determine successes and problem areas. Supervisory duties may include, but are not limited to: Participate in the selection of new employees. Prepare and deliver quarterly and annual performance appraisals to subordinate supervisors and serves as first-level reviewer for employees in department. Hear and resolve complaints from employees. Recommend disciplinary actions as necessary.
