Summary

This position is part of the Depart of War, War Media Activity (WMA). The incumbent will be responsible for managing building operations, with a critical focus on the physical security, environmental compliance, and safety management programs for the facility.

Duties

As a Facility Operations Specialist at the GS-1640-11 some of your typical work assignments may include: Plans and manages building operations, maintenance, repair, and alteration programs for DINFOS facilities. Coordinates maintenance actions and work orders directly with the Department of Public Works and outside vendors. Conducts safety and environmental inspections and surveys to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. -Serves as the designated hazardous waste manager for the organization. Establishes and maintains effective key control, serving as the agency key control officer. Ensures an effective fire prevention program is in place, including planning and executing regular fire drills. Acts as the primary 911 liaison for DINFOS in the event of any facility emergency, coordinating directly with first responders.

When relying on foreign education, submit transcripts and a copy of the equivalency evaluation results letter with a course-by-course listing.
