Summary
About the Position: Serve as the Regional Technical Specialist (RTS) and senior expert on Equal Employment Opportunity for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Great Lakes and Ohio River Division. This is a Planned Management Action, no vacancy exists. Selectee will remain at their current LRD District location.
Duties
Provide definitive guidance to GS-12 EEO Managers and Division leadership on the most complex, novel, controversial, or precedent-setting EEO issues.
Executes rigorous quality assurance for responses to critical, high-visibility data calls, audits, and taskers originating from HQ USACE, congressional inquiries, the Department of Defense (DoD), or the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
Serve as the principal advisor to leadership, and senior managers, providing authoritative technical consultation on the full spectrum of EEO and affirmative employment.
Independently identifies and analyzes workforce trends, personnel policies, and management practices to detect potential barriers to equal opportunity.
Manage the Reasonable Accommodation (RA) and Anti-Harassment programs, serving as the primary advisor to deciding officials and ensuring all actions are timely, thoroughly documented, and legally sufficient.
