Summary
You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the S-4 DIRECTORATE of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII.
Duties
You will plans, coordinate, and implement GIS projects utilizing new GIS technologies and a variety of computer systems, software and procedures to accomplish assignments in the most expeditious and economical manner.
You will serve as Engineering Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) and Geographic Information System (GIS) Technician.
You will be responsible for applying technical CADD and GIS methods, techniques and procedures to locate, collect, process, assimilate, analyze, and produce data from various sources and incorporate them into the installation's geospatial database.
You will review engineering drawings prepared by others to develop, maintain and share GIS/CADD files containing repetitive type drawings, details, and features.
You will plans, coordinate, and develop digital GIS schemas, layers and databases, in the areas of facilities, roads, utility infrastructure, site development and selection.
You will advise and recommend changes to procedures and contracts when required for data integrity and advise on capabilities and limitations of systems to produce the required results.
