Summary
You will serve as an Engineering Technician (Mechanical) in the Engineering and Planning Department, SUBSAFE Program Office at PSNS and IMF.
Duties
You will ensure the shipyard and intermediate maintenance facility's (IMF) instructions, procedures, directives, processes, production and quality programs comply with Fly-By-Wire and Submarine Safety (SUBSAFE) program requirements.
You will analyze and recommend quality improvements of complex shipyard programs that support critical submarine work.
You will review engineering instructions and procedures including ability to develop new approaches and modify standard practices, techniques, and/ or procedures.
You will manage and evaluate programs which encompass a wide variety of disciplines and functional organizations.
You will provide SUBSAFE program oversight for work in progress.
You will be responsible to interpret instructions involving quality assurance forms requirements.
