Summary

About the Position: Serves as the Office Engineer responsible for handling contract modifications and contract administration duties for military construction projects in the region.

Duties

Render technical assistance to contractors and field personnel on such matters as determining any discrepancies that might interfere with administration of contracts.

Apply a wide range of engineering technology concepts, practices, regulations, policies, and precedents.

Prepare and/or evaluate Government cost estimates and compare with contractor's proposal.

Assemble engineering and fiscal data in support of requests to higher authority for special funds, additional funds, and reallocation of present funds.

Develop various reports, obtain data, and prepare and/or processes periodic construction progress reports. Investigate problems which have been encountered such as the disclosure of field conditions requiring change in plans.
