You will serve as a Electronics Technician in the U.S. NAVAL OBSERVATORY of NAVOBSERV. GS-11: $85,447 to $111,087 Per Year GS-12: $102,415 to $133,142.00 Per Year
Duties
You will assess the need for improvements to Master Clock and time transfer electronics systems, subsystems, components, connections, and their associated electrical power systems; and design, modify, build, assemble, repair, and maintain them.
You will physically install electronic circuits and cables, moving equipment and clocks, general maintenance, and similar work.
You will assist the different time transfer divisions with respective missions.
You will recognize the need for new techniques, particularly of electronic nature, and develop them using nonstandard theory, taking into account the complex dependencies between the Master Clock and other time transfer systems and subsystems.
