Summary

THIS IS AN INDIANA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This position is in the Excepted Service under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA) This position is part of the IN JFHQ CAJMTC MCCO, Indiana National Guard under Position Description Number PD#T7040000. Duties

The Airfield Manager is responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient management of the airfield and associated services including airfield safety, flight operations, aircraft services, air traffic control, etc.

Develops, implements, manages, and annually reviews airfield-related plans and programs.

Delegates authority to subordinate supervisors, outlines policy and overall program requirements and objectives, and coordinates and monitors the execution of assigned functions.

Conducts daily and annual inspections of runways, taxiways, parking ramps, lighting and clearance areas.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

To receive credit for Education, you must provide transcripts or documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position. If using education to meet Individual Occupational Requirement from the Qualifications section above, such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the line of work. Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study - accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, nautical science, marine affairs, marine engineering, marine transportation, or other fields related to the position. For Marine Transportation Specialist positions, education obtained in a Federal, State, or other accredited Merchant Marine Academy is qualifying.
